Cherry blossom season (late March through early April) and autumn foliage (November) are the most popular windows. May and October also offer mild weather, fewer crowds, and lower pricing. Summer brings festivals but higher humidity; winter is quiet and ideal for onsen escapes.
How many days should I add before or after a Japan cruise?
Most travelers add 4 to 7 nights on land. Three to four nights in Tokyo and two to three nights in Kyoto covers the essentials. Hakone, Hiroshima, or Kanazawa each add another 2 to 3 nights.
Do US travelers need a visa for Japan?
