A few years ago, Tyler sailed Alaska with Norwegian Cruise Line, a trip that carried personal family history rather than a formally historical itinerary. During a stop in Skagway, the family rode the historic train out of town to retrace the path of Tyler's great-grandfather, who family history holds was the first Italian interpreter and guide to help travelers in the region during that era. Walking the same route generations later, tying a personal family story to a place, is exactly the kind of connection Tyler looks to build into the trips he plans for others.
