Both are excellent first river cruises. The Rhine is known for castles, vineyards and compact riverside towns across Germany, France and the Netherlands, while the Danube links major European cities such as Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava with smaller Austrian and Hungarian towns. I have personally completed 25+ river cruise ship inspections and have personally sailed on four river cruises across different river cruise lines. Walking the ships, seeing the cabins and onboard spaces in person, and sailing the itineraries myself is how I learn the differences that make one river cruise a much better fit for a traveler than another.

Planning happens remotely by phone, email, text and video call, so wherever you live, the process is the same: a 15-minute introductory call, personalized cruise line and itinerary recommendations, and support from booking through the day you return home.
